Job summary

Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Year Manager to coordinate pastoral care for a specific year group and to monitor behaviour. You will be the first point of contact for students and parents on inclusion issues, while maintaining accurate data to support behaviour strategies and attendance goals.

You will run targeted behaviour interventions and apply restorative approaches to help students achieve the national average attendance and overall progress.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English grade 4-9 (A-C) or equivalent essential.
  • Experience in pastoral care and safeguarding is advantageous.
  • Ability to monitor year group behaviour and maintain accurate records.

Job description

This role is designed to provide the Academy with the capability to actively identify and remove the social and emotional barriers to learning by coordinating outstanding pastoral care for all. As part of the Year Manager team, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of an identified year group. You will monitor and track the behaviour of an identified year group and be the first point of contact for students and parents over any inclusion issue. You will also keep accurate data and records to support behaviour management and for quality assurance of behaviour management strategies. You will run behaviour interventions, implement restorative justice and maintain good standards of attendance within your identified year group (at least national average).
