Job summary

Colne Valley High School is seeking an enthusiastic Year Leader to join the pastoral team and take responsibility for the welfare of a designated group of students. You will work to ensure effective family communication and engage families as key stakeholders in their child's education.

You will implement a Pastoral Support/Behaviour system, ensure students are ready for learning, and demonstrate excellent organisational and time-management skills while working collaboratively with a team.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Colne Valley High School as an enthusiastic and dedicated Year Leader.

The successful candidate will become part of a Year team taking responsibility for the pastoral welfare of a designated group of students ensuring effective communication with the families of these students, engaging them as key stakeholders in their child's educational experience.

The post holder will ensure all students in their care are ready for learning and will be responsible for the implementation of an efficient and effective Pastoral Support/Behaviour system.

This is a role that requires excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and remain confident under pressure. A problem-solving attitude to work is essential. The successful candidate must have a positive attitude towards team working, have excellent interpersonal skills and be proficient in using Microsoft Office.
