Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD in Lichfield is seeking an Accountant to lead year-end accounting and corporation tax for a dedicated portfolio of clients. The role sits in a firm with hybrid flexibility after onboarding and close collaboration with senior staff.

You will work with two Senior Accountants, mentor trainees, and coordinate with VAT, payroll and bookkeeping teams to ensure accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK accountancy practice focused on year-end financial statements and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio management: primary contact for an assigned client portfolio and year-end queries.
• Core technical delivery: prepare and complete year-end accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Cross-department collaboration: liaise with VAT, payroll and bookkeeping teams.
• Team development: mentor and support junior staff, trainees and apprentices.
• Senior liaison: work with two Senior Accountants within the Lichfield structure.
