Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD in Lichfield is seeking an Accountant to own a portfolio of clients, handling year-end accounts and corporation tax with a hybrid work pattern. The role involves mentoring junior staff and collaborating with VAT, payroll and bookkeeping teams.

You will work closely with two Senior Accountants in the Lichfield office, developing strong client relationships and delivering high-quality financial statements.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK accountancy practice handling year-end accounts and tax compliance.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and act as the primary contact.
• Willingness to mentor juniors and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio management: act as the main contact for a set of clients and year-end queries.
• Prepare and complete year-end accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Coordinate with VAT, payroll, and bookkeeping teams.
• Support and mentor junior staff and trainees in the office.
• Liaise with two Senior Accountants within Lichfield structure.
