Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. in Cottingham, near Beverley, East Yorkshire, is seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join our close-knit practice. You will help manage client relationships and review work between senior management and junior staff.

You will oversee a portfolio of about 40 clients across various industries, preparing year-end accounts, VAT/CIS/payroll, and forms for tax returns. Hybrid working and study support are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of year-end accounts, VAT, CIS, payroll, corporation tax and personal tax.
• Experience managing client relationships and reviewing work is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of approximately 40 clients across a range of industries.
• Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, VAT returns, CIS submissions, and payroll.
• Reviewing work completed by junior staff and trainees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients and handling day-to-day queries.
