Teaching Personnel is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support a Year 7 pupil transitioning into secondary school this September. The role involves 1:1 support, collaboration with ALNCo and teachers, and helping the pupil engage in learning and social activities.

The successful candidate will be patient, resilient and passionate about supporting learners with additional needs, building confidence and promoting independence in a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Supporting a Year 7 pupil with additional learning needs during transition to secondary school.
• Collaborating with teachers, ALNCo and pastoral teams to implement personalised strategies.
• Helping the pupil access learning and engage in lessons.
• Encouraging social interaction, confidence and independence.
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and helping manage transition challenges.
• Building a positive, trusting relationship to help the pupil reach potential.
