Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced Year 6 KS2 teacher for a full-time, long-term post in West Didsbury, Manchester (M20). You will deliver engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum, prepare pupils for SATs, and support their transition to secondary school, while keeping pupils motivated and confident in their final year.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Recent primary teaching experience.
• Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Strong classroom management.
• Excellent organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering high-quality Year 6 lessons.
• Preparing pupils for SATs and secondary transition.
• Using assessment to identify gaps and adapt teaching.
• Providing appropriate support and challenge.
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and presentation.
• Developing pupils' independence, confidence and resilience.
• Working closely with colleagues and families to support pupils.
