Job summary

Academics in Wendover is recruiting a Year 6 Primary Teaching Assistant to support across three Year 6 classes. The role runs initially until the October half term, with a view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.

You will assist pupils academically and socially, working 1:1, in small groups and with the whole class, supported by teachers and other staff. A strong behaviour management approach and SEN experience are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with young people in a school setting would be advantageous.
• Experience with pupils with SEN and strong behaviour management skills would be beneficial.

Year 6 Primary Teaching Assistant - Wendover

A Primary School based In Wendover is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Year 6 Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP. The successful candidate will initially support across the Year 6 classes until the October half term, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain further experience within a school environment and get a real feel for what a school is like before making a longer-term commitment.

The role will involve supporting across three Year 6 classes, working closely with class teachers and other support staff to ensure that all pupils have access to a high-quality learning experience.

You will support pupils both academically and socially, working with individuals, small groups and the wider class where required. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to build positive relationships with children.

Previous experience of working with young people in a school setting would be advantageous, although experienced Teaching Assistants and graduates are welcome to apply. Experience supporting children with SEN and strong behaviour management skills would be particularly beneficial.
