Qualifications

• Be an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher, ideally with recent Year 6 experience.
• Have a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment requirements (including SATs).
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and high standards of teaching and learning.
• Be committed to inclusive practice and meeting the needs of all learners.
• Support and promote the Catholic ethos of the school (practising Catholics are encouraged to apply, but this is not essential).
• Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive staff team.

Responsibilities

• Teach Year 6/ KS2 to a high standard, delivering lessons that meet curriculum requirements.

St Mary’s Catholic Primary Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Year 6 teacher to join our school. This is a key role within the school, requiring a practitioner with strong classroom practice, high expectations and a proven ability to prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments and transition to secondary school.

The Successful Candidate Will:
