Job summary

St Mary's Catholic Academy in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a KS1 Class Teacher to join our Catholic Multi-Academy Trust. The role is full-time and permanent, with opportunities for both Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers who are passionate about high-quality education.

You will teach with high expectations, plan engaging lessons, use assessments to drive pupil progress, and work collaboratively with staff, parents and the wider school community within a supportive Catholic ethos.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Be an excellent classroom practitioner or demonstrate the potential to become one.
• Have experience teaching primary-aged children or be a highly motivated ECT ready to begin their teaching career.
• Have high expectations of pupils' achievement, behaviour and personal development.
• Be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Be skilled in using assessment information to support pupil progress and improve outcomes.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive practice and ensuring all children can thrive and succeed.
• Be an effective team player who contributes positively to the wider life of the school.
• Support and uphold the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
