Job summary

Academics are seeking an experienced Year 5 primary teacher to cover a maternity absence in a welcoming Stoke-on-Trent primary school. You will join a supportive team and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the KS2 curriculum, building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.

The role is full-time, based on-site, and offers a collaborative environment with a focus on inclusive education and positive pupil outcomes.

Qualifications

• QTS required and current in the UK.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies.
• Able to plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons.
• Committed to inclusive education and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Full-time Year 5 class teacher for maternity cover.
• Teach across the full Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support the wider school community.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
