Job summary

REESON Education is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 class in a welcoming Cheshire primary school. This full-time, long-term HLTA role starts ASAP with potential for a permanent position.

The HLTA will work alongside the class teacher, deliver lessons when needed, support routines, assess pupil progress, and collaborate with leaders and external professionals to raise attainment. Experience with Year 6 SATs prep and a proactive approach are valued traits.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
• Confident in supporting or delivering lessons in the teacher's absence.
• Proactive, professional, and committed HLTA with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher and cover lessons when required.
• Assist with classroom routines, planning support, and assessing pupil progress.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, senior leaders, and external professionals.
