Job summary

REESON Education is seeking a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Beckenham, London. The role focuses on Upper KS2, especially Year 6, supporting pupils and promoting progress.

The successful candidate will lead whole-class activities, cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher, help prepare for KS2 SATs, and maintain a positive, well-managed classroom in collaboration with the wider school team.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification is required.
• Experience within Upper Key Stage 2, especially Year 6, is essential.
• Ability to deliver lessons confidently when the teacher is absent.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Beckenham. The school is seeking an experienced and confident HLTA with a strong background in Upper Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6, to support pupils and contribute to their academic progress.

The Role:

• Supporting teaching and learning across Upper Key Stage 2, with a particular focus on Year 6.
• Leading whole-class learning activities and delivering lessons in the teacher's absence.
• Supporting pupils in preparation for end-of-KS2 assessments and SATs.
• Maintaining a positive, engaging and well-managed classroom environment.
• Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team to support pupil progress.
• Adapting learning activities to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities.

Requirements:

• A recognised and relevant HLTA qualification is essential.
• Proven experience working within Upper Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6.
• Confidence delivering lessons and managing a classroom independently.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A genuine commitment to supporting children's learning and development.
