Job summary

Milk Education are seeking an experienced Year 6 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Sutton from October 2026. The role focuses on delivering engaging Year 6 lessons and supporting pupils through the transition to secondary education.

You will plan and differentiate lessons, monitor progress, manage the classroom confidently, and work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and staff to maintain a positive school environment.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• Experience in primary teaching, ideally Year 6.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Confident classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

Location: Sutton
Pay: £150-£220 per day, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term
Start Date: October 2026

Milk Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Sutton who are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Class Teacher to join their team from October. This is a great opportunity for a confident teacher to join a supportive school and play an important role in preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school.

The Role

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Previous primary teaching experience, ideally within Year 6.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Confident classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
