Job summary

Milk Education are seeking an experienced Year 6 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Sutton from October 2026. The role focuses on delivering engaging Year 6 lessons and supporting pupils through the transition to secondary education.

You will plan and differentiate lessons, monitor progress, manage the classroom confidently, and work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and staff to maintain a positive school environment.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• Experience in primary teaching, ideally Year 6.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Confident classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum.
• Prepare pupils effectively for the transition to secondary education.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching as needed.
