Job summary

Pertemps Education Network is seeking an experienced Year 6 Class Teacher for a primary school in Acton. This long-term temporary role runs until July 2027 with an ASAP start.

You will lead Year 6 teaching, deliver KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation, and take full ownership of the class. Qualifications

• QTS and proven Year 6 teaching experience in a UK primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum and SATs requirements.
• Track record of securing good pupil progress and attainment.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management; planning, assessment, differentiation and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Year 6 lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
• Deliver KS2 SATs-focused teaching and revision for English and Maths.
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress, identifying gaps and implementing interventions to maximise attainment.
• Establish clear routines, promote positive behaviour, and create a purposeful learning environment.
• Demonstrate high-quality teaching with differentiation and assessment for learning to meet all pupils' needs.
• Provide targeted interventions to address learning gaps and ensure progress through to July 2027.
