Job summary

Teach is currently inviting applications for a Year 6 Class Teacher role at a King's Lynn primary school, starting immediately. You will teach a Year 6 class, plan engaging KS2 lessons and support pupils as they prepare for SATs and the transition to secondary school.

We are seeking a qualified teacher with UK QTS, experienced in primary curriculum delivery, and a passion for high-quality teaching and pupil wellbeing.

Qualifications

• UK-recognised QTS is required.
• Experience delivering the primary curriculum, ideally KS2.
• Confident teaching Year 6 and preparing pupils for SATs.
• Able to adapt lessons for multiple abilities and learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for end-of-KS2 SATs assessments.
• Assess pupils’ progress and adapt teaching to individual needs.
• Support pupils to develop confidence, independence and effective learning habits.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain high expectations.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs and adapt teaching approaches accordingly.
• Provide constructive feedback to help pupils achieve their full potential.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and the wider school community.
• Help pupils prepare for the transition to secondary school.
• Follow school policies, curriculum expectations and safeguarding procedures.
