Job summary

PK Education is partnering with a diverse primary school in Sheffield to recruit an enthusiastic Year 6 teacher. The role focuses on delivering a high-quality KS2 curriculum, planning engaging lessons, and preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments.

You will use ongoing assessment to monitor progress, provide feedback to pupils and parents, and support students in developing resilience and a love of learning.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS (or equivalent) and experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
• Secure understanding of Year 6 curriculum and end-of-key-stage expectations.
• Excellent classroom management and ability to engage pupils.
• Reflective, ambitious and committed to professional development.
• Team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
• Shares the school’s commitment to high expectations, resilience and ambition.

Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 6 class, ensuring pupils are challenged and supported to achieve their full potential.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments, with a broad and creative curriculum.
• Use assessment to monitor progress, inform planning and provide feedback to pupils and parents.
• Support pupils in developing resilience, independence, and a love of learning.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and pastoral support.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain the high standards expected by the school and community.
