Join our Outstanding-rated, three-form entry primary school in Tower Hamlets, where learning is ambitious, engaging, and inclusive for all. We are now recruiting for a Year 6 Class Teacher to start in September 2025.
Our purpose-built school provides a vibrant and inspiring space to learn and teach. At the heart of our ethos is one powerful question: “What would it take?” This shapes our drive to remove barriers, stretch potential, and prepare our pupils for a successful future—academically and beyond.

About the Role
As a Year 6 Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school. This includes leading them through their final year of primary learning, supporting them to achieve their very best in the KS2 SATs, and ensuring they leave our school with confidence, curiosity, and resilience.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Delivering high-quality, inclusive and engaging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum
• Preparing pupils thoroughly for SATs assessments, using data to target interventions and accelerate progress
• Maintaining a calm, focused and inclusive learning environment, where high expectations are balanced with strong pastoral care
• Supporting pupils’ wellbeing, emotional development and readiness for secondary school
• Contributing to moderation, curriculum planning and collaborative year group practice
• Engaging with parents and carers, providing clear communication about progress and next steps
• Participating fully in the wider life of the school, including trips, events and enrichment activities

Person Specification
We are looking for a Year 6 Class Teacher who:
• Holds UK QTS and has proven experience in upper Key Stage 2 (Year 6 experience is highly desirable)
• Has secure subject knowledge in core areas, especially reading, writing and maths
• Understands the demands of SATs preparation and can plan strategically for progress
• Demonstrates excellent classroom practice, including strong behaviour management and differentiation
• Is calm under pressure, highly organised, and focused on pupil outcomes
• Brings creativity, positivity and resilience to their teaching
• Works well as part of a supportive and collaborative team and builds strong relationships with children, colleagues and families
• Is reflective, ambitious and committed to their own professional development

What We Offer
The school is a genuinely happy and highly supportive place to work, where staff feel valued and collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. We have a strong, stable leadership team, a shared sense of purpose, and a culture of professional trust. You’ll work in a modern, purpose-built school with excellent facilities and resources, alongside a passionate team who are always willing to share, learn and improve together. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to grow in confidence and impact, we’ll support you with high-quality CPD opportunities. Above all, you'll be joining a school community where children love learning and staff love teaching.
