Are you an SEN Primary Class Teacher that is flexible and can teach Early Years to Year 6 students? Join Hays and work with experienced recruiters who have a background in the teaching profession to help you find a long-term role!

Location: Tower Hamlets, East London

Salary: £38,766 - £60,092 per annum based on experience

Contract: Full-time/Permanent

Additional allowances: SEN allowance of £2,679 per annum

Start date: 01/05/2025

What skills and experience are we looking for?

The successful applicant will:

  • Plan and deliver lessons to pupils with communication and interaction needs
  • Assess and monitor the specific needs of pupils with SEN
  • Work as part of a team to secure the best outcomes for pupils

What you will need to succeed

  • QTS (or equivalent) and qualified to degree level (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a UK Primary School
  • The right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through Hays
  • No prior SEN provision experience required but demonstrate understanding of SEN
  • Knowledge of strategies to meet communication needs of pupils with SEND
  • Effective lesson planning skills for groups and individual pupils
  • Successful teaching experience across primary or secondary levels
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach other subjects
