KPI Recruiting Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a Southwark primary school for a Learning Support Assistant in Year 5. You will support a group of pupils with SEND under the Year 5 team, working with the class teacher, SENCO and support staff to enable access to learning.

This full-time, term-time only role offers valuable classroom experience for graduates or assistants aiming for teacher training, with opportunities to develop intervention skills in SEND.

Qualifications

• A degree (or equivalent experience in an educational setting).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy and resilience.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsabilités

• Support six Year 5 pupils with SEND, helping access learning and achieve targets.
• Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions to boost progress.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and learning styles.
• Encourage positive behaviour, social development and wellbeing.
• Help create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and SEN team.
