Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Year 5 Primary Teacher for a Bromley-based school starting September 2026. The role is full-time, temporary until July 2027, with a daily rate of 170 and responsibilities including planning, preparation, marking and parents' evenings.

NQT's and experienced teachers are welcome. The school offers support from a strong leadership team, potential extension or permanent position based on performance, and safeguarding/vetting processes via Prospero Teaching.

Qualifications

JOB TITLE - Year 5 Primary Teacher

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Primary Teacher for a Primary school in Bromley (BR1).

The school is a popular mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing training to all staff.

The position is open to both NQT's and experienced teachers. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location - Bromley, BR1.
• Position - Year 5 Primary Teacher
• Type of work - Class Teacher - planning, preparation, marking, parents evenings etc
• Contract or position start date - September 2026
• Duration / Likely Duration - until end of the academic year July 2027

• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate 170 per day
• Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year teaching experience in the UK
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years

OTHER

The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy. Any adult working with children and vulnerable young people are responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people.
