Job summary

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a thriving primary school in the Yeovil area seeking an experienced Year 5/6 teacher to join from the end of September/early October 2026.

The role offers full teaching responsibilities: planning engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress, marking, and creating an inclusive classroom while collaborating with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally upper KS2.
• Strong SEN understanding and effective behaviour management.
• Excellent communication with pupils, colleagues and parents.
• Committed to raising attainment and high teaching standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons.
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress; mark according to policy.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment where every child can succeed.
