Job summary

St George’s CE Primary School is seeking a part-time Year 5/6 class teacher to join our welcoming Christian school community. The post is 2.5 days per week on MPS, suitable for a motivated practitioner who can contribute to our school’s ethos and safeguarding duties.

The appointment is temporary until 31st August 2027, with an ASAP start. We offer a supportive team, a thriving local community, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Year 5/6 in a UK primary setting.
• Commitment to safeguarding and high safeguarding standards.
• Willingness to support and uphold the school’s Christian ethos.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging lessons for Year 5/6 pupils.
• Assess pupil progress and provide timely feedback.
• Foster a caring, inclusive classroom and positive behaviour for learning.
