Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is supporting a welcoming primary school in Morecambe in their search for a dedicated and experienced Year 4 Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. You will support pupils academically, socially and emotionally while working closely with the class teacher to create a positive and productive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a TA2 qualification (or equivalent), have previous primary school experience, and demonstrate excellent classroom

Qualifications

• TA2 qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience working in a primary school/classroom
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Confident supporting learning across the primary curriculum

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within a Year 4 classroom.
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.
• Provide general classroom support and assist with lesson preparation.
• Encourage pupil engagement and maintain high expectations of behaviour.
• Use strong classroom management to support learning and minimise disruption.
• Support pupils both individually and in small groups where required.
