Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment are assisting a welcoming primary school in Morecambe to recruit a Year 4 Teaching Assistant (TA2 minimum) to start ASAP. The role is term-time only, Monday to Friday, 08:45am – 3:15pm, supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally alongside the class teacher.

The ideal candidate will hold a TA2 qualification (or equivalent), have experience in a primary setting, and demonstrate strong classroom management and a proactive, flexible approach.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate TA who enjoys supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally while working closely alongside the class teacher to create a positive and productive learning environment.

The Role

• Supporting pupils within a Year 4 classroom.


• Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.


• Providing general classroom support and assisting with lesson preparation.


• Encouraging pupil engagement and maintaining high expectations of behaviour.


• Using strong classroom management skills to support learning and minimise disruption.


• Supporting pupils both individually and in small groups where required.

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Hold a minimum TA2 qualification (or equivalent).


• Have previous experience working within a primary school or classroom setting.


• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.


• Be confident supporting learning across the primary curriculum.


• Have a proactive, positive, and flexible approach.


• Be able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
