Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is supporting a welcoming primary school in Morecambe in their search for a dedicated Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join their team with an ASAP start.

You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities, support pupils academically, socially and emotionally, and help maintain high standards of behaviour throughout a Monday to Friday schedule (08:45am–3:15pm) during term time.

Qualifications

• Holds a minimum TA2 qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in a primary school or classroom setting.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Confident supporting learning across the primary curriculum.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate TA who enjoys supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally while working closely alongside the class teacher to create a positive and productive learning environment.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils within a Year 4 classroom.
• Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.
• Providing general classroom support and assisting with lesson preparation.
• Encouraging pupil engagement and maintaining high expectations of behaviour.
• Using strong classroom management skills to support learning and minimise disruption.
• Supporting pupils both individually and in small groups where required.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a minimum TA2 qualification (or equivalent).
• Have previous experience working within a primary school or classroom setting.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.
• Be confident supporting learning across the primary curriculum.
• Have a proactive, positive, and flexible approach.
• Be able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
