Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a KS1 Graduate Teaching Assistant for an outstanding primary in Hall Green, Birmingham, with an immediate start and contract running until July 2027. You will support Year 2 pupils with reading, writing and number, run short boosters, and deliver 1:1 catch-up while guiding small groups through phonics, spelling and arithmetic.

Qualifications

• Degree - 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Clear, confident written and verbal skills.
• Enhanced DBS - Held already or willing to obtain.
• Desire to work in education/with children - KS1 focus.
• Experience working with children - desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work in Year 2 to boost reading, writing and number; run boosters and 1:1 catch-up.
• Guide small groups through phonics, spelling and arithmetic; set up activities and record progress for the class teacher.
