Supply Desk Ltd in Maidenhead is seeking a Year 4 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming school community. You will plan and deliver the Year 4 curriculum with enthusiasm, differentiating for ability and supporting pupils’ academic and social growth.

The role emphasises safeguarding, collaboration with SENCO, and active participation in school life. The ideal candidate will hold QTS or be working towards it, have KS2 experience, and be committed to high standards of pupil progress and behaviour.

Qualifications

  • QTS or working towards relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting, ideally KS2.
  • Strong understanding of the Year 4 curriculum and pupils’ learning and development needs.
  • Passionate about helping children achieve academic and personal potential.

Responsabilités

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Teach the Year 4 curriculum across English, Maths, Science and the wider curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupils’ progress and attainment, identifying areas for development.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet needs of pupils with varying abilities, including those with SEND.
  • Establish high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and personal development.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils feel valued.

Are you an enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate Primary Teacher looking for your next opportunity? The successful candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment, helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally while encouraging them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Teach the Year 4 curriculum across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, Science, and the wider curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupils' progress and attainment, identifying areas for development and providing appropriate support.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to engage pupils and promote positive learning experiences.
  • Differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities, including those with SEND.
  • Establish and maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and personal development.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, the SENCO, and the wider school team.
  • Contribute to planning, assessment, moderation, and wider school activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupils' progress, attendance, behaviour, and attainment.
  • Support pupils' social and emotional development and promote positive relationships within the classroom and wider school.
  • Participate in school trips, assemblies, extracurricular activities, and other aspects of school life where required.
  • Follow school policies and procedures, particularly those relating to safeguarding, child protection, behaviour, health and safety, and confidentiality.
  • Take part in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
Requirements
  • Have qualified teacher status (QTS) or be working towards the relevant teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching within a primary school setting, ideally with experience in Key Stage 2.
  • Have a strong understanding of the Year 4 curriculum and pupils' learning and developmental needs.
  • Be passionate about helping children achieve their academic and personal potential.
