Job summary

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Strong planning and classroom management skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching to different abilities and learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the Year 4 curriculum.
• Set ambitious but achievable expectations for all pupils.
• Use assessment to identify gaps and inform future teaching.
• Differentiate lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
• Establish routines and effective behaviour management.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Work with teaching assistants and other staff.
• Maintain records of pupil progress.
• Communicate with parents, carers and colleagues.
• Take an active role in the wider school community.
