Job summary

Teaching Personnel is supporting a welcoming primary school in Bolton to recruit a Year 4 Class Teacher starting in September for the full academic year. The role involves delivering the KS2 curriculum, planning engaging lessons, assessing progress, and supporting pupils of varying abilities.

The successful candidate will have QTS and experience in KS2, with strong classroom management and collaboration with SEN staff and subject leads.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.

  • Strong understanding of KS2 curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to differentiate learning to support all pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons across the Year 4 curriculum.
  • Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching where needed.
  • Provide targeted support to pupils of varying abilities.

Year 4 Class Teacher

Location: Bolton

Start Date: 3rd September 2026 for full academic year

Hours: Full-Time

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be supporting a welcoming and nurturing primary school in the Bolton area, who are seeking a dedicated Year 4 Class Teacher to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to make a meaningful impact across the KS2 curriculum.

About the Role

You will take responsibility for the Year 4 class, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that support pupils’ academic progress and personal development. The ideal teacher will be confident in delivering the KS2 curriculum, able to foster a positive classroom environment, and passionate about helping pupils thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons across the Year 4 curriculum
  • Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching where needed
  • Provide targeted support to pupils of varying abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
