Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is recruiting a Year 3 Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Halewood, Knowsley. The role is full-time from 1st September 2026, supporting Year 3 pupils with a team of six staff. It’s not 1:1, but includes SEN support throughout the week, with hours 8:30–15:30, Monday to Friday.

Prospects for permanent recruitment exist in 2026/27. A DBS check and right to work in the UK are required. Competitive daily rate (£90–£110) depending on experience.

Qualifications

• TA qualification preferred; relevant school experience also considered.
• GCSE English & Maths (C/4) or above or equivalent Level 2.
• Current DBS on update service or willingness to apply through Connex.

Responsibilities

• Support Year 3 pupils in two classes as part of a team of six support staff.
• Assist pupils with additional needs throughout the week (SEN experience beneficial).
• Provide consistent classroom support within standard school routines.
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30–15:30; potential for permanent recruitment in 2026/27.
