Job description

Smile Education are recruiting on behalf of a primary school based in Lichfield for a full-time Year 3 class teacher!

Role and responsibilities:

1. Planning and delivering engaging lessons to the whole class, approximately 26 students.
2. Working closely with the year lead to ensure effective teaching and learning.
3. Providing clear marking and feedback to learners and their families.
4. Recording and monitoring children’s development and progress through reports and assessments.
5. Ensuring a safe and positive learning environment for all children.
6. Leading and supporting a class teaching assistant.
7. Attending staff meetings and training days to enhance personal development.
8. Working to support children’s learning following the UK school curriculum.
9. Working closely with colleagues to create a stimulating workplace.

Successful candidates will:

1. Hold a UK, relevant QTS or equivalent.
2. Have effective experience teaching in a primary school setting, specifically lower KS2.
3. Be a positive role model to all children.
4. Have strong knowledge of the school curriculum.
5. Want to make an impact on children’s education and be committed to the school’s wider community.
6. Show experience in managing behaviour within the classroom and individually.
