Job summary

The Education Specialists are seeking a Year 3 Primary Teacher for maternity cover at a welcoming UK primary school. This full-time role commences January and offers the chance to deliver high-quality lessons within a supportive environment.

You will plan engaging, differentiated lessons, monitor pupil progress and collaborate with staff to maintain a positive learning culture. A QTS and KS2 experience are essential, with a DBS on update service preferred.

Qualifications

• QTS and experience teaching in a UK primary setting.
• Experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 3.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum.
• Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with staff, SENCO and leadership.
• Provide continuity and stability for pupils during maternity cover.
