Job summary

Connex Education is recruiting Year 2 Supply Teachers to support Key Stage 1 classes across Taunton and surrounding areas from September 2026. Flexible day-to-day, short-term, or longer-term placements are available to suit experience and availability.

Qualified teachers with UK QTS are invited to apply, bringing experience of Year 2 and strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, classroom management, and planning engaging lessons. Competitive daily rates and PAYE pay offered.

Qualifications

Year 2 Supply Teacher

Location: Taunton & Surrounding Areas
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: £140–£300 per day, depending on role and pay scale

About the Role

Connex Education is working in partnership with schools across Taunton and the surrounding areas, including schools within the Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust (BWMAT), to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Supply Teachers from September 2026.

We are looking for qualified teachers who can deliver engaging, inclusive and purposeful learning across Key Stage 1. Whether you are looking for flexible day-to-day supply, short-term placements or longer-term opportunities, we can offer a variety of roles to suit your experience and availability.

The Role

We are recruiting Year 2 Supply Teachers for opportunities including:

• Day-to-day, short and long term supply teaching
• Full class responsibility where required
• Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Working closely with school staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing
• Adapting teaching to meet different abilities and learning needs
