Job summary

Castle Education in Bradford is seeking a dynamic Year 2 Teacher for an Oct 2026 start in a thriving primary school. You will deliver engaging KS1 lessons, establish clear routines, and set high expectations to help pupils feel secure and eager to learn.

Collaborating with TAs, SENCOs, and pastoral teams, you will differentiate for SEND and SEMH, implement positive behaviour strategies, and lead targeted interventions to close gaps while nurturing a joyful classroom culture.

Qualifications

• QTS with Year 2/KS1 teaching experience.
• Strong behaviour management and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging KS1/Year 2 lessons with strong reading, writing and maths foundations.
• Establish clear routines and high expectations to support pupils.
• Differentiate for SEND/SEMH needs and implement targeted interventions.
• Use positive behaviour strategies to create a calm classroom environment.
• Collaborate with TAs, SENCOs and pastoral teams to support learners.
• Contribute to safeguarding and nurture pupils' confidence and curiosity.
