Job summary

Veritas Education are partnering with a local primary school in the Lancaster area to recruit a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team from October Half Term 2026.

You will take responsibility for a Year 2 class, plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum, assess pupil progress and create an inclusive learning environment while working closely with colleagues, staff and families.

Qualifications

• QTS and KS1 teaching experience required.
• Sound understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality teaching and learning.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.

Veritas Education are working in partnership with a local primary school in the Lancaster area to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team from October Half Term.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 1 practitioner to take on a full-time teaching role within a nurturing school environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for a Year 2 class and will play a key role in supporting pupils through this important stage of their primary education.

The Role

• Full-time class teacher responsibility for a Year 2 class

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
• Be approachable, professional and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
