Job summary

Unsworth Primary School is seeking an experienced Year 2 Teacher to join our dedicated team on a fixed-term, part-time basis (3 days per week). The role involves class-sharing with a member of the Senior Leadership Team, with a focus on high-quality teaching, inclusion and safeguarding.

The successful candidate will lead a foundation subject, work closely with colleagues, parents and external agencies, and support pupils' academic and personal development within a collaborative staff team.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Year 2 in KS1.
• Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and assessment strategies.
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and high expectations for every child.
• Able to lead a foundation subject.
• Collaborates with colleagues, parents and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and ongoing assessment for Year 2 pupils.
• Establish strong positive relationships to support pupil development.
• Lead a foundation subject and contribute to school-wide improvement.
• Work in partnership with SLT, colleagues and families to ensure progression.
