Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd partners with a welcoming primary school in SL2 to appoint a dedicated Year 2 Teacher. The role suits an Early Career or experienced KS1 teacher aiming to support pupils through a crucial transition into KS2.

You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum, manage a positive classroom, assess progress, and collaborate with teaching assistants and staff to nurture reading, writing, maths and phonics skills.

Qualifications

• QTS desirable; KS1 or Early Years experience.
• Strong KS1 curriculum knowledge and assessment expectations.
• Excellent classroom management and organisation.
• Creative, engaging and structured teaching style.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum.
• Support pupils' development in reading, writing, maths and phonics.
• Prepare pupils for KS1 SATs.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress to inform teaching.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage pupil independence, resilience and confidence.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and the wider school team.
