Job summary

Brighton Primary School is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join from September. You will work with a Year 1 teacher and another TA to support a large cohort in the classroom and through targeted 1:1 guidance.

This role suits someone with strong EYFS/KS1 experience and a background in SEND, with a nurturing, patient approach and good teamwork to integrate with teaching staff.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in EYFS or Key Stage 1.
• Experience supporting children with SEND and communication/behavioural needs.
• Ability to support learning through group activities and individual interventions.

Responsibilities

• Support a Year 1 teacher and another TA in a large Year 1 cohort.
• Deliver targeted 1:1 support and small group interventions.
• Assist with classroom activities and track pupil progress.
