Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a Year 1 Teaching Assistant for a school in Newham to support two ASD pupils, one of whom is non-verbal. The position is full-time and long-term, starting September 2026, with a daily rate of £95-£110.

The ideal candidate will have ASD experience, be able to deliver 1:1 support and manage two pupils simultaneously, with fluent English, a valid DBS on the Update Service, and proof of right to work in the UK.

Requirements

• Commitment to a full-time, long-term role
• A valid DBS registered on the update service.
• 2-3 professional references covering a minimum of 2-3 years of employment history.
• Must be available for an immediate interview and start date.
• Proof of right to work in the UK
• Proof of national insurance
• Proof of address (dated within the last three months)
