Job Position: Year 1 Teacher Required for September!

Pay Rate:Pay-To-Scale

Location: Wigan, WN4

Contract:Full time, Temporary Introduction (With a Golden Handshake offer of £250 upon securing a permanent position)

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a primary school just off the A58 in Ashton-In-Makerfield who are looking for a Year 1 Teacher to start in September. Your role will involve providing engaging lessons and ensuring that each child is supported in their learning journey.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Have recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably in Year 1.
  • Demonstrate a secure understanding of the KS1 curriculum, including planning and assessment.
  • Be confident in teaching core subjects (English, Maths, Science) with creativity and high expectations.
  • Promote independent learning and encourage critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Bring enthusiasm, flexibility, and a team-focused attitude to school life.
  • Be reflective and committed to continuous professional development.
