Job Opportunity: Year 1 Teacher

Clockwork Education is working with a welcoming, 1-form entry school seeking a confident and passionate Year 1 teacher to start ASAP on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
2. Carry out the full role of a class teacher.
3. Work independently with good classroom control, supported by a teaching assistant during lessons.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience within KS1; knowledge of Phonics and the EYFS/KS1 curriculum.
• ECT placements are accepted as relevant experience.
• Ability to provide two educational references.
• Hold a relevant teaching qualification.
• Provide or apply for an enhanced DBS certificate if not currently on the update service.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Phonics screening tests is highly advantageous but not essential.
