The Education Specialists are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher for Year 1 on a maternity cover basis in Bootle. This full-time temporary role runs from January for two terms, with a strong focus on progress and inclusive teaching within a supportive school culture.

QTS is essential with UK primary experience; KS1 knowledge is important. The role offers a competitive daily rate (£130–£248.61) and weekly PAYE, plus CPD, consultant support, and a refer-a-friend scheme.

Formación

• QTS is required or equivalent
• Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
• Experience teaching Year 1 is desirable
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS via update service or willingness to apply

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the primary curriculum
• Teach a Year 1 class throughout the maternity cover period
• Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO and leadership
