Job summary

Vision For Education is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 student with ASD and additional needs. The role is full-time and based in the Kidderminster area, with immediate start for a long-term placement.

You will use a child-centred approach to support the learner's progress, working closely with school staff while ensuring safeguarding and consistent communication with families where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children.
• Experience with SEND and autism-friendly strategies.
• DBS check and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a Year 1 student to assist learning and development.
• Use child-centred approaches to maximise engagement and progress.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and follow individual education plans.
• Manage behaviours and support a positive learning environment.
