Job summary

Got People is seeking a proactive Yard Team Leader to join a dynamic and expanding operation in Wolverton. This hands-on leadership role requires guiding the Yard Support team, coordinating daily yard operations, and driving safety and efficiency.

You will manage stock movements, equipment checks, and liaison with transport and operations, with regular overtime during peak periods. A strong supervisory background in yard or warehouse settings is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily yard operations to ensure efficiency and safety.

• Manage stock movements, equipment returns and record-keeping accurately.
• Ensure all equipment is inspected, cleaned, and stored correctly.
• Maintain Health & Safety standards across the yard.
• Collaborate with transport and operations teams.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages promptly.
• Support equipment servicing and annual stock audits.
• Assist the Yard Manager with daily planning and improvements.

Yard Team Leader

Got People is seeking a proactive Yard Supervisor to join a dynamic and expanding operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in yard, logistics, or warehouse environments who thrives in leading a team while remaining hands-on in the daily management of yard activities.

Salary: £33,000 plus overtime (regular overtime available during busy summer months)

Holiday: 25 days annual leave

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily yard operations to ensure efficiency and safety
• Lead, support and motivate the Yard Support team to achieve operational goals
• Manage stock movements, equipment returns, and accurate record-keeping
• Ensure all equipment is inspected, cleaned, and stored correctly
• Maintain rigorous Health & Safety standards across the yard
• Collaborate effectively with transport and operations teams
• Monitor stock levels and promptly report any shortages
• Support equipment servicing, repairs and assist with annual stock audits
• Assist the Yard Manager with daily planning and continuous operational improvements
