Job summary

XPO Logistics is hiring a full-time Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver for our East Leake site. You will load trailers, secure goods, and move them around the yard, working in a busy environment. Training will be provided for Tug operations and yard safety.

Shifts are rotational (06:00–16:00). Prior shunter experience is preferred; LGV/HGV Class 1 entitlement is ideal, with a max of six points and no DD/DR offences. No road work is involved, just yard-based duties.

We’re looking for a full-time, permanent Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver to join us based on our site in East Leake. You bring the commitment and we will provide the training.

Shifts are on a rotational basis:

Monday to Friday 06:00 - 16:00£14:88 P/H.

• You will be loading trailers and securing goods safely, Full training will be given
• You will work in a safe manner at all times
• You’ll be performing trailer movements in our busy regional yard
• You will be driving a Tug on-site so previous experience would be an advantageAll work is yard based, no road work is expectedYou must have shunting experience as some manoeuvres are in confined spaces

What you need to succeed at XPO

• Must be flexible in working hours
• Previous Terberg shunt unit experience is desirable but training will be provided;
• Ideally LGV / HGV C+E / Class 1 Entitlement on your licence
• If a trained yard shunter without HGV Class 1, we will look to upskill your current licence
• No more than 6 points, with no DD or DR endorsements present
