Job summary

XPO Logistics is hiring a Part-time, CAT C/CE HGV Shunter Driver to join our client site in Norwich. You will drive an 18T rigid vehicle, move demountable boxes and trailers, and couple wagons as needed.

Shifts are from 0600 to 1430 or 0700 to 1530, Monday to Friday, with overtime on Saturdays during peak periods. The role offers a competitive salary (£30,371), pension, holiday pay and access to discounts and training.

Qualifications

• Hold CAT CE or C entitlement on your licence.
• No more than 6 points, with no DD or DR endorsements present.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card are required.

• Drive an 18T rigid vehicle.
• Move demountable boxes and artic trailers in the yard.
• Couple wagons and drag and articulated vehicles.
• Occasional deliveries may be required.
• Overtime on Saturdays during peak periods.
• May need to use the customer system to assist with loading planning.

You'll be working as a Yard Shunter on site working from 0600 to 1430, or 0700 to 1530 Monday to Friday. In return for your hard work, we'll offer you a competitive salary of £30371. What You'll Do On a Typical Day

• You'll be driving an 18T rigid vehicle
• You will be moving demountable boxes and artic trailers around our customer's yard
• Coupling up wagon and drag and artic vehicles
• There may be the occasional requirement to take a vehicle out and make a delivery
• During peak periods Saturday overtime may be available
• There may be the occasional requirement to use customer computer system to assist with loading planning
