Job summary

XPO Logistics is recruiting Class 1 drivers for a Monday to Friday shift in Padeswood. You will drive modern HGV Class 1 vehicles, start between 04:00 and 06:00, and complete curtain-sided deliveries for a leading logistics provider. A £500 joining bonus is paid after a successful 12-week probation.

You must hold a valid LGV C+E licence, up-to-date CPC and DIGI card, with no more than 6 points, and 12 months experience. Benefits include discounts, cycle-to-work, pension, and ongoing training.

• Up-to-date CPC and Digi card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive Class 1 vehicles in a courteous manner.
• Undertake curtain-sided trailer deliveries for XPO.
• Adhere to start times between 04:00–06:00, Mon-Fri.
• May involve some manual work.
• Loads loaded/unloaded by site or customers.
• Deliveries tracked and signed via Epod.

We are offering salary of £15.89 per hour. You will get a joining bonus of £500 on the completion of a successful 12-week probation period.

Working Hours

• Fixed start time between 0400 - 0600
• Monday - Friday
• 2 nights out a week - Possibility of 2 nights out not guaranteed

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• You will be safely driving our HGV Class 1 Vehicles in a courteous manner
• Undertake curtain sided trailer deliveries on behalf of the XPO
• Start times from 0400
• Some manual work may be required
• All loads will be loaded/unloaded by the operating site/customers.
• All deliveries will be tracked and signed for using Epod technology

What You Need To Succeed At XPO

• Valid LGV C+E Licence
• An up to date CPC and DIGI card
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• No DD, DR or IN endorsements showing on your licence
• 12 months experience
