Job summary

Travis Perkins is seeking a Yard Assistant to support daily yard operations at our Stockport site. You will process customer orders, load and unload vehicles, and ensure accurate stock handling in the branch warehouse.

Training is provided for forklift use, and the role requires enthusiasm, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work safely in a busy outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• This is a key customer facing role requiring enthusiasm and great interpersonal skills.
• You must be physically capable of handling heavy and bulky stock within health and safety guidelines.
• Forklift experience is ideal but full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders at the yard.
• Load and unload customer and company vehicles.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and book them into the branch warehouse.
• Operate forklift when trained.
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment.

• You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
• Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don't worry full training is provided
• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment
